Beaches
You don’t have to go far to find a beach, Coral Estate has its own! Want something different and less crowded? Drive a few miles and you’ll find the best natural beaches of the island, like Porto Marie, Cas Abao, Daaibooi, Grote Knip and Kleine Knip.
Curacao’s Cas Abao beach is even mentioned on Yahoo’s Top 10 ‘Best Beach destinations’ together with Bali, Maui and the Seychelles!
Other beautiful beaches are Barbara Beach, Mambo, Jan Thiel, Playa Kalki and Playa Lagun. Altogether you’ll find about 40 beaches on the island. The best ones are located on the Southwest coast, West of Willemstad. Most of them are quite small, some are a bigger, with more amenities and more tourists. At most beaches, you can rent snorkeling gear to explore the underwater world.
You won’t find long stretches of beach on Curacao though. But, who needs those if you have small bays with palm trees, white sand and a turquoise sea? The real bounty-beaches!
