Do I pay tourist tax?
Yes, the tourist tax percentage on Curacao is 7% of the rental price. The prices mentioned on our website are excluding tourist tax.
Do I pay extra for water and electricity?
Normal use of water and electricity is included in your rental price. Air conditioning is the main user, and normal use is about 10 hours a night/day. Before check-in we will note down the meters and we will do that again before you leave. We will calculate your usage and will notify you if this is above average.
When do I get my deposit back?
In general the deposit is paid by an authorization on your credit card. If everything turns out fine, and we do not need to use any of it, the amount will be released after your departure by your bank or credit card company. In general this is done within 5-15 days, but it can take longer. Coral Estate Rentals cannot influence this term. If you paid the deposit in cash, we will return this to you before departure.

If you have
rented a car with us, our transfer will be ready to meet you at the airport and will bring you to the resort. Have you arranged a car yourself or are you already on the island? You can find the route description here. A useful app is Maps.me, a free navigation app. Download the map of the island and you can use it offline.
What’s the weather like on Curacao?
Curacao has a warm, sunny climate year round. The average temperature is about 27° C (in the mid 80s F). Cooling trade winds blow constantly from the east, picking up in the spring. The rainy season, which is between October and February, is usually marked by short, occasional showers, mostly at night, and continued sunny weather during the day. Total annual rainfall averages only 570 mm (22 inches). Occasionally, a tropical storm somewhere else in the region means clouds, showers or lack of wind.
Does Curacao suffer from tropical storms and hurricanes?
The Atlantic Ocean, the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea endure around ten tropical storms every year, of which about six turn into a hurricane. Due to the leeward location of Curacao, our island is hardly ever effected by hurricanes though. Occasionally, a tropical storm somewhere else in the region means clouds, showers or lack of wind.
